    [OOM] Lake.
Atton has carted a little table and some moving targets out by the lake, and is testing out some of his newly designed weapons.

Most of them are swords of some kind, by the looks of it, but there's two high-tech pistols and what looks like an upgraded version of his vibrodisk.

He's also got a lamp set up. The lake area is dark at night.

Currently, he's got what looks like a sheathed katana in his hand - black metal, mostly, or black cloth. He's tapping some keys on the sheath, though, rather than attacking with it.

    [OOM] Kazic III.
Jaq is sat upon a clifftop, staring outwards into the distance.

There was someone in the trees earlier, watching from afar, but he's gone now. Jaq doesn't suspect he'll come back soon.

    [OOM] Kazic III - Cä-Iudän.
There's not really any such thing as a morning on Kazic III, but if there was, now would be it. There are people starting to mill around the village, setting up market stalls, and off on a higher cliff, guards running through training.

There's something approaching breakfast (some kind of mostly tasteless porridge) being made in the Tae household, but Jaq is conspicuously absent.

[OOM] Star Wars universe, Fett's time.
When the door opens, Atton bounces through with all the enthusiasm of a young boy who's been told that he's going on a trip to the Puppies, Comics and Fireworks Store, whereupon he will be given cake.

He's also, for once, completely unarmed, which is arguably a very poor idea when going anywhere with Fett, but never mind.

    [OOM] Kazic III - Cä-Iudän.
Kazic III doesn't have a day or a night - the sky constantly glows with shifting patterns of warm, pleasant colours. It does have a generally accepted time when most people are asleep, though, and now is it.

There are still guards, though. They keep around the edge of the settlement, and occasionally give slightly wary glances towards the green flashes off in the distance. They're probably nothing: Some quirk in the atmosphere or something similar, but they could be the signs of a distant battle.

Their attention isn't really caught until shapes start shifting in the trees, mostly silent and not quite visible. One guard murmurs something to another and heads off into the forest, gun hefted high to shoot anything suspicious looking.

He returns a moment later, with spots of red around his mouth, but looking chirpy enough.
"Just an animal," brightly, to his companion, setting a hand on his back and steering him towards the forest. "Come check if there are any more."

As they walk, he reaches up to wipe at something warm leaking down from his eyes. His hand comes away red, and he wipes it on his furs as the two vanish off into the forest.

There's a sharp, strangled scream, and then they return, both smiling merrily, dabbing rapidly reddening pieces of cloth at their eyes.

    -----

In the Tae household, things are a lot less bloody, but very loud for this time of the not-evening. The old, heavily armed woman who Guppy, Teja and Kate met earlier is milling about, trying to keep control of four unruly children. One of them, a young boy, is rushing around making starfighter noises, while Lyman has hopped up on a stool to laboriously stir a vat of some kind of stew, and a young girl holds two makeshift dolls of cloth and wood in each hand.

She's keeping close to Guppy, Teja and Kate. The show is clearly for their benefit.

"'I shall defeat you, Anabellizzastein!'" She squeaks in the voice of one doll, a greying, one-eyed cloth thing with bright pink hair. The other doll, hairless and extravagantly dressed in scraps of fur, replies (in a much deeper voice): "'It's too late, Chieftain Ranalin! I have already unleashed my monster!'"

Jaq is staring out the window, brow furrowed. He is hit in the head by a large, reddish cloth doll tossed at him by his sister.

"Jaq!" The young girl calls. "I need you to come and play the monster!"

    "In a minute."

The old woman settles down near Teja, Kate and Guppy, propping a gun up against her chair.
"It's crowded here, but we manage to get by."

    [OOM] Kazic III.
Out in the vast forests of Kazic III, the carpet of snow is rather abruptly disturbed as a flash of green light sends snowflakes flying outwards and animals fleeing.

A moment later, a green line appears in the air, and widens to admit (more like toss out with considerable force) three people. It flickers for a moment, before creaking closed again, and vanishing with a puff of greenish-white flame.

As far as worlds go, it's one of the more interesting ones to land in. The trees are evergreen and ridiculously tall, the snow is thick and heavy, and the sky has no sun to speak of, just shifting and glowing clouds in shades of gold, pink, amber and red.

I bring you the vaguest of all planning posts, because I'm pretty content to just wing it, for the most part.

But, here is at least a vague outline to work with. Big spaces between lines are to seperate one thread from another.:

    - Teja, Guppy and Kate arrive!
    - At some point, they get taken to the town, probably by tiny!Atton.

    - In the night, Fiendish Outerdimensional Creatures stealthily burrow their way inside some people to use as fleshy puppets.

    - The next day, shenanigans in town. Some people acting strangely.

    - Fiendish Outerdimensional Creatures attack! Kate, Guppy, and Teja head to the portal to go through and close it.
    - Return to Milliways.

I have no idea what Atton will be doing, during this time. He might be thrown somewhere else on the same planet in the same time, and join up with them near the end.

    [OOM] Sam and Atton.
"So, that there is the target," Atton says.

They left the bar a couple of hours ago. Atton bought Sam something to eat before ushering him to a high cliff looking over the colony - and the big grey and brown tower in the distance.

"S'a laboratory sort of thing. Does experiments into hyperspace and space distortion. S'heavily guarded and all."

    9:32 pm
    [OOM] Mirror plot III.
The city which Will and Atton land in looks almost deserted. A closer look, once they get out of the shuttle, reveals otherwise - it's not deserted, it's just that everyone's locked themselves up in their houses.

"This place stinks of fear," Atton says, brightly, sniffing the air.

    9:14 pm
    Mirror plot II.
When the morning comes, Atton's gone, but there are two rather ragged and thin looking pirates poking Will with their feet.

"Get up," one says (he's very shrill). "You're to report to the quartermaster, down on deck four."

    [OOM]
When they left Onderon, Atton tapped in the coordinates received from each of the laboratories. They've been traveling for nearly a weak.

The system that the Dragonfly jumps into is almost completely empty. No suns, and the stars can barely be seen.

What it does have, however, is very unusual.

There's a planetoid, huge and seemingly barren, with the surface broken by massive tentacles that wind and coil around it, quivering. On either side of it are two swirls of dust and red-amber-gold light, around disks of black.

"That's neat," Atton remarks, from the cockpit. "Two perfectly equal black holes, balancing each other out. So long as you stay the same distance from one as the other, you're fine, but if you stray too far towards either one, you get sucked in. Ships can pass through unharmed, but if anything really big tries to move through it, it'll get black holed."
    7:55 pm
    [OOM] Mirror Plot Part I.
On the edge of known space, a space station drifts sedately around a green-blue gas giant, flickering with tiny lights.

Nearby, there's a flash, as a large, grey ship, battered and patched up, exits hyperspace, heading for the station.

On board the station, as a puff of purple flame deposits Will in a storage cupboard, an alarm starts blaring.

    9:20 pm
[OOM] Above Onderon - The Wyrm.
The trip to the Wyrm is fairly uneventful. They slide into its vast, almost empty landing bay and land silently, lights flicking off one by one.

Atton peers out of the cockpit speculatively, adjusting his gauntlet. The walls are metal, that much is clear, but wound through with something dark, organic and porous, that pulsates with the heartbeat coming from deeper within the ship.

    "Nice."
    9:19 pm
    [OOM] Onderon.
Koren stares out at the distant sea of rubble around Onderon, and amongst it the swarms of tiny lights moving towards his fleet.

“My lord,” a voice drifts over from one side, “our weapons are ready. We can destroy the rubble and move through towards Onderon.”

“No.” Koren flicks one hand up, drawing up a closer display of the objects moving through the rubble. The red and whites of Republic fighters are mixed in with the blues and golds of the Onderon guard and the silvers of the Basilisk war droids. “To do so might push the rubble towards the planet and the moon. I want the palace and the tomb to be structurally unharmed.”

Out of the corner of his eye, he sees his advisor bow low.

“This is only a minor inconvenience,” he continues. “The remains of a shattered fleet are not going to stop us. Dispatch fighters and dropships.”

    -----

There are thousands of fighters, flooding out of the Wyrm. We’re outnumbered ten to one. We’re making a dent in their numbers, but there are too many for us to keep them all out. The dropships are - ...”

    -----

A dropship crashes down into the city square, hatches opening to admit a stream of armoured soldiers, guns raised and firing as the nearby turrets swung towards them. With a shriek, one soldier falls, armour falling apart around him.

Behind them, the dropship clanks, casting off its outer shell to reveal a crab-like war machine beneath. It growls mechanically, legs sliding out as it lifts itself up and started walking, guns sliding out. With a hum and a crash, the main gun fires, lighting up the city as it blows through a building, sending turrets flying and crackling.

The march continues on towards the Sky Ramp, blocked by a row of shiny, silver droids. As they turn and started firing, the soldiers hurry away, ducking behind buildings as the war machine points its main gun at them with a long hum.

As the droids go flying and clattering, another dropship hist the city, and a third.

    -----

    Atton taps his earpiece again.
“They’ve breached the Sky Ramp,” to Will and Guppy. “Be ready.”
    9:18 pm
    [OOM] Onderon - Royal Palace.
"Position the capital ships behind the blockade," Atton's saying into an earpiece as he checks his weapons. "Keep the Basilisks and fighters ready. When the ships jump in, we'll do hit and run attacks. Is there any way to set up an ion charge on the other side of the blockade?"

    Tapping it again.

"Is the throne room locked down? Good. Keep on establishing containment fields for the Sky Ramp, and empty the ciy."

    It's been a busy day.
    9:17 pm
    [OOM] Onderon.
When the Dragonfly jumps out of hyperspace at Onderon, its inhabitants are met with the sight of a lot of wreckage.

There are ruined Republic ships and ruined Sith ships, floating around in pieces of varying size. There's no sign, however, of any current battle.

"Maybe we were too late," Atton mumbles, tapping a few keys. An image of a woman in a dress and shawl appears. "Or not."

"Only one ship and three people? We had hoped for an army."

"Maybe one will turn up later. What happened?"

"The Sith retreated. They have offered us a day to surrender, or make preparations for another attack."

"Oh. That's - that's quite nice of them, actually. Cuddly."

    11:07 pm
    [OOM] The Dragonfly.
On their way away from Izabora, Atton has found pizza.

    Delicious pizza.

(Guppy and Will can't have any.)
    11:07 pm
    [OOM] Izabora - The Hub.
When the music fades and the lights come back on, the orange-and-white room has been replaced with the interiors of their pods.

As the pods open, there are a lot of confused noises from the people nearby, as across the Hub, every pod opens and shuts down.

Atton grumbles something, hopping out of his pod and shaking himself down.
    11:06 pm
[OOM] Izabora - Total Immersion Virtual Reality Program: Age of Ooze. Above Stromgard.
By the time the airship (a literal, flying ship, it seems, built from wood with thick, billowing sails and a skull flag, like a stereotypical pirate ship) has reached Stromgard, the city is barely recognisable.

The buildings, now shaded in bright shades of pink, green, and blue, are twisted out of shape, bent at angles that should make them fall over. Streams of green code float up from some of the buildings, towards an object in the sky that wasn't there before.

Hanging in the blank, starless black is another city, all walkways and stone buildings, surrounding a tower in rings.

"That looks like our target," Atton says from the bow of the airship.
    11:05 pm
[OOM] Izabora - Total Immersion Virtual Reality Program: Age of Ooze. The North Mountains.
When they reach the entrance to the cave, there's something blocking it.

It looks like a giant mechanical man, covered with guns and gears and chimneys, and all in not-quite-right shades of green, pink, white and black. There are streams of code coming from the chimneys.

"That can't be good," Atton mumbles.
